My sister and I are having what we like to call our own mini fashion week, we no longer live in the same house and she does not blog but she is taking outfit photos and sending them to me at work and I am doing the same for her, it is actually quite scary how similar we are for example one day we both had black and grey outfits the next we added a touch of red to an otherwise boring work ensemble... this was my touch of red outfit simple but perfect for a day of meetings and emails.

This amazing Mimco scarf was an Easter gift from my amazing husband! Although you can not see the beautiful colours all that well in these photos there is camel, navy, khaki and white, its the perfect scarf for this Winter and I can already see it becoming my go to scarf.

May is always filled with lots of parties and social gatherings for me, a lot of the special people in my life are born in May not to mention my amazing husband!

I am very much looking forward to a full calender this month with 2 dress up parties in the mix but more on those later.

I wore this while out shopping with my 2 sister's, I picked up this dress for $19.95 I was so happy its perfect I can wear it for work or play and I already have some more ideas on how to mix it up.

I feel in love with this top as soon as I saw it, I have to say I am a sucker for anything leopard print so this fit the bill perfectly.

I visited my sister and as soon as she saw me she said you look like a little snow leopard!

I am excited that I am getting to pull out the sleeved tops and scarves Winter is finally on its way.

So today marks the blogs first birthday! I can't believe it has already been a year. I started this blog as a little style inspiration of my own. I was interested to see how I wore things and how many times I wore the same thing as I felt as though I was always wearing the same clothes. This little blog has made me be more adventures with my clothing choices and to mix things up a little bit more.

I was always one of those girls who would have an outfit in mind wear it then if it worked wear the same thing again and again without changing a thing not even the accessories. That in turn lead to my clothes getting old quickly and me getting over them now I try to mix things up and I think its working!

These photos are from the Easter long weekend, the husby and I stopped at the Gold Coast for fish and chips by the waters edge and found this beautiful little place with an amazing view we sat here for a few hours talking and laughing and taking in the sunshine it was a beautiful day.

I brought this dress for a steal at only $15 from one of my favourite basics stores Cotton On. I have since removed the tiny straps as there wasn't much of a point to them and I must say I have worn this dress many times already including to work with a black knit over the top and a cute little waist belt.

Today is the last day of work for another 5 whole days due to Easter and Anzac day falling on the same day this year! Lucky us... I plan on making the most of our mini break with day trips and lots of catching up with friends and family and maybe even an Easter egg hunt!

sunsets with vanilla lattes

So the husby and I went on a little date the other afternoon up to a look out that looks over our beautiful city Brisbane! as you can see it was sunset but it was the most amazing view. There is a little cafe up on top of the look out where you can sit and enjoy the view we had vanilla lattes and sat and chatted until it was too cold to stay any longer.

I love when you do things that are not planned and they turn out perfect!
