daisy hill
Yesterday we went for a bush walk at Daisy Hill Koala Centre, it was so magicial to see all the cute little koala's in the trees, we took my nephew Baylen along. The pictures above are from one of the many trails you can walk along, it was a great way to spend a Sunday morning.

Australia Day 2011
We were lucky enough to have the most amazing weather for Australia Day here in Brisbane after all of the floods and rain it was great to be able to get out into the sunshine. We definitely got into the spirit of things heading to the beach, having BBQ, beer, wine, swimming and spending time with the best bunch of people.
I love Australia so much and am so proud to call my self an Aussie!!!
It was almost the perfect day if only I didn’t have the sunburn to show for all the fun had!

what's on my dresser...
As you can see it is a mixture of different things and also a bit messy. I try to keep current ‘loves’ and things that I want to mix into my outfits as well as trinkets and things that are special to me.
I have previously mentioned on this blog my love of Samantha Wills accessories, what I love even more is the amazing packaging that your accessories come in as you can see I have 2 of her beautiful hand carved wooden boxes on display as they are too pretty to hide.
In the right hand corner I always keep a pile of new clothes that I have brought as a reminder to wear them and not loose them in my already full wardrobe. I find this works for me as I see them everyday while I am getting dressed.
I also keep my favourite perfumes on display, I am not really a one fragrance girl and normally match my scent to my mood, there are too many pretty perfumes out there to stick to just one.

berry bright
necklace - diva, dress, belt and flats - sportsgirl, bangles - random cheap shop
Work on a Monday isn't too bad after a weekend full of shopping! On Saturday I headed down to Robina on the Gold Coast with my Mumma for some shopping and brought the nail polish above from OPI it is one of their designer series and I am in LOVE!! The colour is Reflection and it is amazing!
I also visited Garden City on Sunday with my two beautiful sisters, I brought a few different things including a faux fur vest and coffee colour maxi skirt from Forever New as well as some cute basics and accessories. I can not wait to start mixing them into my existing wardrobe.
In other news the husband and I have decided to get a puppy!!! I am so excited we are going to adopt one from the RSPCA as soon as we find one that will be happy with our little yard.
Happy Monday.

home made
I always have people asking where I have brought these however I made these little decorations myself and they only took about half an hour. I went to my local spotlight store and brought some embroidery hoops in various sizes and different pattern materials as the hoops keep the material taught they are perfect to mix and match with any room and change as often as I like.
You could also hand these easily with a picture nail and have them on your wall as mini pieces of art.

our first garden
We have been in our home for just over 6 months now and still do not have any grass in our yard it has been a long process of getting the fence up and some concreting done and the weather here in Brisbane has not helped in the least. However a couple of weekends ago we decided to plant our first garden, we visited my parents and raided there garden for hardy plants that we wont kill.
As you can see we got some green grassy type ones, and a beautiful agave in the middle, now lets just hope they grow and love their new space. I still want to get some coloured mulch to cover the dirt, but that will come this weekend.

green with envy
necklace & bracelet – diva, top – supre, skirt – witchery, heels – williams
I am happy to say that my whole outfit was brought on sale for a total of $63!!! I love sales and fully take advantage of them while they are on. I try to stay away from trend pieces in clothing and stick to things I know I will wear but with accessories anything goes I will buy anything I like as they are so easy to work into outfits and can change the look of a simple top and skirt combo.
On another note blogging feels strange today knowing that 75% of the state I live in is classed as a disaster zone. However my office, home, friends and family have not been affected and I am so thankful for that. My thoughts go out to all Queenslander’s that have been affected and for those that have already lost their lives. Mother Nature is a crazy thing sometimes.

shopping love
image - weheartit.com
Here is a bit of an insight into my shopping loves, habits and regular places I visit when in need of some retail therapy! This is a general idea of places as I am an impulse shopper through & through if I love something I will buy it there and then.
However as a new year has just begun I am going to ‘try’ and think about my purchases more to build a solid foundation wardrobe.

exotic prints & tribal hints
top - cotton on, necklace - diva, skirt - portmans, bangles - random cheap shop, shoes - mimco
I have always loved an animal/tribal print when done right, so you can imagine how happy I was when I came across this top for $10 at cotton on!!! I have already mixed it with black skinny jeans and now for work with this cute little skirt. It is also quite sheer so it looks pretty sexy when worn with a black bra and no cami underneath.
Happy hump day.

Happy 2011 !!!
I am so so so excited to begin this year! 2010 was so so for me I had my ups and downs but I am determined to make 2011 amazing.
These outfits shots are from the past couple of weeks while I have been on holiday from work. Even though it is Summer here in Australia it does not feel like it, it has been raining and quite sad. However Paul and I were so excited to plant our little garden (our first for our new place) while plants from my parents. We also spent a few days at various shopping centres making the most of all the sales at the moment.
I hope you all have amazing 2011's and they are filled with love, friends, family and sparkles!
